My Persuasive Writing

In literacy for writing we have been learning how to write persuasive writing and persuade someone.

To persuade someone it is like convincing somebody to do or believe something. It was hard to persuade somebody at first but then we learnt more about it and it became easy. Hopefully my writing will persuade my best friend Maia.




Dear Maia You really need to stop shouting every now and then. Don’t you know that shouting is not going to get you anything or anywhere?

 This is why you shouldn’t. First because a lot of people don’t think it is necessary. They probably don’t think it’s necessary because it’s not important to shout all the time.

 Then you might get told off by the teachers for shouting in class and we don’t want that to happen do we? Nobody wants to get in trouble.

 You sometimes give me and others headaches. Sometimes even the teachers get really bad headaches from all your short and loud shouting. Lastly is because it gets really, seriously, super duper annoying.

You could also lose your voice and you won’t be able to sing in choir. That would be pretty bad wouldn’t it?

 So please stop shouting a lot especially when you get excited. Just remember next time, don’t shout.

The Door In The Wall

In Writing I have been learning about WOW words and vocabulary for impact. We looked at a picture and thought critically about it. I found it challenging to pick the best ideas for my story because there were so many good ideas. For example Fairy's, Gnomes, Ant man because our picture was a tiny door in a wall.

My Vapourising Machine

My Vapourising Design

This week for literacy my group The Boy In The Dress were learning about black holes and we read a book called Beyond The Black Hole. We also watch a few videos about black holes. Black holes are quite interesting. In the book Beyond The Black Hole the characters in the story used a VAPOURISING MACHINE to destroy planets and collect resources to help the planet earth. For our activity we had to create a vapourising machine on google drawings. It was fun creating all the shapes and labeling everything. I like learning about black holes!

Being Responsible With Chromebooks

In Cybersmart I have been learning about being responsible with Chromebooks.

First we put our Prior Knowledge on a padlet. Then we buddied up and created a poster or infographic about being responsible with Chromebooks.

I found it hard because my buddy had to do testing so I had to do some myself.

What was easy was that I knew what colors and stuff she liked so she would like it too.
