Mud Glorious Mud !

Today in Punui o toka it was my worst nightmare. Well almost. We went outside on the field to experience MUD!! I felt pretty excited but when I got outside I saw the disgusting icky mud that looked just like cow pats.

We all had to wait for the teachers to say that we could feel the mud but we could still smell the disgusting smell and see the brown and damp dirt.

When the teachers said we could feel the mud it was actually pretty fun. I liked picking up great big chunks of mud and squeezing it as hard as I can. I loved to make mud balls. It smelt like bird poo. It wasn't a very nice smell or look. The mud sounded squelchy in my hands. I hated the mud but it was a good experience.      By Layla

Lamb Chops And Ladies In Lava

I would NEVER eat lamb chops with lollipops.

I would NEVER wear lilac laces.

I would NEVER buy a ladder with a label.

I would NEVER throw a lady in lava.

I would NEVER go to a laughing lunch.

I would always like to think about Lucy the lawbreaker.

And I promise that I would NEVER learn to leave my lollies in the cupboard.

That Was Summer!

I remember smelling my Mom's disgusting perfume

I remember tasting the delicious flavours of ice cream

I remember seeing fancy ladies in fancy dresses

That was summer

I remember feeling stressed because of my little brother

I remember hearing the next door neighbour’s lawnmower

That was summer.

We have put what summer was like in the past. - Layla

On fun Friday the 10th of March we went on a spectacular school trip. We went to Spencer Park. It was only the year 4-6 and we went there to get to know each other better.

When we got there we had our morning tea under the trees.The grass was wet from the dew so we crouched or sat on the blue tarpaulin. I had peppermint wheelys and a bar for my morning tea.

After morning tea we went to the playground. I was playing with Lily H and we were judging the playground. Our favorite place was the wooden bridge and we liked jumping on it because it made it harder to stand on and I like it when it’s challenging. I also saw my friends Tisharn and Teneesha from my softball team.

The sports leaders had to take the sports equipment back to Mrs Dinnington’s car before we moved on. The next activity was going to the beach. The two activities were creating tall towers and racing on Mrs MG’s race track. In my group were Callum, Nici and both of the Logans.

When we got back to the park area we all had lunch. I was very hungry after coming back from the beach with all that hard work. I ate my yummy peanut butter sandwiches and my chips and my apple.

I enjoyed going to Spencer Park because I love the waves at the beach and I loved playing with Lily, Tisharn and Teneesha.                 By Layla
